Trains:
he best value, speediest and easiest way of travelling along the coast from Malaga to Fuengirola is via the railway system. This may sound daunting, but in reality it is very simple.

The line running from Malaga town to Fuengirola is a single stand alone line. See the train map below.

The train line runs to the airport and tickets can be obtained from the automated machine next to the train stop and should be purchased before boarding the train. They cost around 1.85 Euros (£1.25) to Los Boliches. To Fuengirola, the first train is at 06.13 then at 43 and 13 minutes past the hour. The Last train is 22.43.
Sometimes the machine is out of order, however tickets can be bought on the train from the ticket inspector - although you may be charged a premium for this.

Car Hire
There are many car hire companies advertised at Malaga airport and one the most competitively priced is http://www.carjet.co.uk. There are also a number of other hire companies along the coast.
There are lots of buses running up and down the coast and in fact they travel much further than the RENFE, which terminates at Fuengirola. Again, costs in relation to the UK are very reasonable and return tickets ensure even better value.
Taxis
Taxis are available from the airport at a cost of around 38 Euros. We can supply contact details for a private service that will provide a return journey at a cost of 50 Euros.
